Can someone advise how to get the chainplates to fit through the gaps on the runner boards. The ones supplied in the kit do not fit, unless I am missing some parts !!!

pics would be nice, if you have modded them to fit, which is where I am at at the moment !! But as there are 42 to do, I want to get it right first time !!!
