Matho Models Normandy Road Signs WWII (1/35) 35001
Add realistic roadside details to a 1/35 scale WWII scene with this Normandy Road Signs set from Matho Models. The set contains a total of 49 different road signs, providing a varied selection of details for Normandy-themed modelling and diorama projects.
Each sign is printed on thick, slightly rough paper to create a realistic appearance. The signs are already weathered and damaged, allowing them to be used in their supplied finish or enhanced further with additional weathering techniques. The reverse sides are also printed with appropriate textures, giving the signs useful detail on both sides.
The set includes 49 different signs in 1/35 scale. Their pre-weathered appearance includes signs of wear and damage, making them well suited to WWII dioramas where a clean, newly installed look isn’t required.
You can use the signs separately and attach them directly to a wooden pole, or sand the reverse before integrating them into a construction. This gives modellers different ways to incorporate the signs into their detailing work.
For a more natural appearance, the signs can be cut out by hand without using a ruler. This produces less perfectly straight edges and helps create a more realistic finish. After cutting, you can lightly paint the exposed white paper edges to blend them into the printed sign.
Although the signs are supplied pre-weathered, additional weathering can be applied using traditional techniques such as pigments and drybrushing. You can also use a knife or small file on the edges to create a more worn appearance.
The combination of 49 different designs, double-sided printing and pre-weathered surfaces provides a versatile selection of 1/35 road signs for adding distinctive Normandy details to WWII modelling scenes.
