Got the Macragge blue on today. Some brush painting to do now before putting him back together

Many moons ago I was into tabletop gaming in a big way, still like to keep my hand in but never in this scale, thanks for having a look

Started blocking in the colours now, a long way to go though. Drilled out the laser light on the front (not in close up pic) painted it aluminium then dropped some clear red in and topped it with crystal clear. Onwards and upwards

More progress and some rebuilding of the figure. I've left the shoulder guards off so I can fit the insignia and weather them up. I also added some decals from The Mighty Brush to his bolt rife on the purity seal. I want to make some for his armour so am now undergoing some experiments for a suitable material that will take decals when painted. So here he is so far. The weathering is quite daunting as it is such a large figure that I don't think just painting chips on will be enough and they need to be more physical. To that end I've started on the waist armour testing some ideas including hits from ammo.
