MIMETIC

Does anyone know what this means in relation to lifecolor paints.

I cannot find anywhere what the difference is.

What is the difference?

Hi Harry,

maybe Mimetic in relation to lifecolour stands for colour that resemble the colours in nature.

Mimetic-imitate

resembling, or relating to mimesis or imitation, as in art, etc

so just a fan see name I think,

Mimetic is an imitation of true colours or forms. Another way is it is imitating the true colours (or as near as damn-it), so the lifecolour/Mimetic range simulates the colours and hues in life. The flesh tones (lifecolour have 6 IRC) have degrees of colour and tone to build up from a base colour. There are two base colours: flesh 1° base and flesh 2° base these are laid down and then the other tones are added to create a representation of real-life tones. They also do various other colours, kaki etc.

Si:)
