I'm going to mix my first paints today, how long can I keep painting with a mix before it goes bad?
My question might be badly formulated, but what I mean is
If I make the paint mix, can I just leave it in my plastic paint mixing palet for a few hours and use it? Or will it run dry? or go bad after minutes/hours?

Hi Miguel
Acrylic paint will not last long when mixed and put into a plastic palette. It will dry and to keep using it you will have to add water/thinner at intervals to keep it useable. Once dry completely it won't reconstitute. I use a Stay Wet Palette - Google it and you will get a load of info. Keep your brush clean by regularly washing it and then have a paper towel to take off most of the water to leave it damp. Only practice and experimenting will let you find what works for you.
