discussion ModelExpo 2005 NEC

Had a friend e-mail this link. I don't know if it is already on the forum, but if not there's the link. I have never been to any type of model show, but this looks impresive. Did anyone on the forum go to ModelExpo 2004?

several members of our model boat club went last year, they said for our side of the hobby (marine) it was a disaster, plus it seemed expensive for what you got, BUT IT WAS THE FIRST YEAR FOR THIS EVENT .....

in 2004 it also clashed date wise with weymouth model boat festival ( which i attended) having talked to the members and seen the few pictures they had i definately made the right choice especially seeing as the milage to weymouth is similar as the distance to the NEC from my home !

this year the dates dont clash with weymouth, the NEC show is a week later, but i still may give this show a year or two to build itself up before venturing to the NEC....

not the right attitude i suppose...... i should be supporting all model shows from their infancy but just cant get excited at seeing a few marine related exhibits and a small number of traders, i would rather save my time and money for weymouth, warwick and other boat only shows.....
