"Wie ein floh, aber oh ho!" --I like the Me-163. It has the distinction of more pilots getting killed from fuel and/or engine "mishaps" than from actual combat. The german aviatrix Hanna Reitsch was invited to test fly the rocket egg. Unfortunately for Ms Reitsch, the take off trolley did not jettison properly and she crashed. She survived the accident, but messed her back up as a result. She was really lucky, given how volatile the fuel...
