Hi guys. :)

I spent a large part of yesterday cleaning up all the remaining parts, and gluing up the various 2 piece body panels. These are usually a pain as a seamless joins is desirable. Normally on bike kits it tends to be just the front fender/mudguard and the belly pan, but on this one its the seat pan/fuel tank and rear fairing (which was actually 3 parts) as well.

I also dread cleaning up the centre seam on the wheels on bikes, this always take a long time and can be tricky getting into some of the tighter radii. Still, all done now so will get on to some painting over the weekend.

Thanks guys. :)

I'm in the boring stage of priming everything, and filling the gaps on the two piece parts, so no more photos yet.

Morning all. :)

Right, time for an update. As any bike builder will know a lot of the parts require multiple colours, so progress can be slow with waiting for paint to dry before masking, painting, masking, painting, etc. I managed to get a lot of this knocked out and now have some sub assemblies.

Swing arm, hugger and front mudguard (and yes, I couldn't resist adding some carbon fibre, the real bike has some).

There's still few small decals to add to some of these parts. The wheels are also painted, just need to add the annoying decals then this little lot can go together.

Come on now, you can fool most of the people but I KNOW that you have the real thing stripped down in a lock-up somewhere and you are passing these photos off as model parts ;)

Seriously though that is some stunning work especially the rear suspension and hoses complete with clamps. Loving it.

Dang Bo(h)b,

I can't believe how you get such a realistic paint finish on the parts. I think Stefan is right and you just take pics of the real thing. Some really fantastic work Sir!!! Keep it coming...

Prost
