I used to display US Gulf War, US Postwar, WWII German and WWII US models in this cabinet but when the cave became too cold to work comfortably I have put all that in storage and filled it with WWII US models. I couldn't fit 5ID 11Inf. HW Co., & HW pltns. or attached 5Med., 5Ord., or Hvy Artillery elements. Decades of effort here.
top shelf is Med Tank Co., 2 TD Recon Pltns, & TD Co.
shelf4.webp
Next is AI Co., AI Bat HQ Co., AAA Bat elements, & Inf Regmt. Cannon Co., A Battery.
shelf3.webp
Back to front: Combat Engineers Co. A 204E, Co. C 7E, Footbridge Sect. 1103E, & Amphibian Sect. 1103E
shelf2.webp
leftmost: Bailey Bridge Sect. 1103E, ctr rear: Treadway Bridge Pltn. 1103E, rightmost: Dora Bridge Sect. 1103E, front is 1103E Grp. HQ Sect.

U may have noticed the first platoon TDs of the TD Co. are missing. I'm converting the M10s to M36s.

That's impressive, you're obviously very passionate about the subject

That cabinet is not a cube 14.14 inches on each side!!
Not all CoCs are alike. I've never asked it to be. A fan of Pendergast (sp. it's been decades)?

So who is Pendergast? I was referring to the CoC kept in the care of Ponder Stibbons at the Unseen University.

Beautiful collection looks like D-Day in 1/87 scale
Thank you gentlemen. Actually these represent units involved in the Moselle crossings south of Metz, Sept. 1944. I was going to dio some of it, but as can be seen even small portions would be very large in size. Dornot is just north of Noveant off the Arnaville map. I'm thinking of maybe doing the pedestrian bridge over the railroad tracks at Dornot and the Bailey & Treadway bridges over the canal at Arnaville.

A charactor created by authors Preston & Child
Key aspects of FBI Agent Pendergast:

  • Background & Education: Hails from a wealthy New Orleans family, holding doctorates from Harvard and Oxford.

Pendergast's CoC plays a significant part in some of Preston& Child's books as I recall.

Here's a better map of Arnaville crossing & a pic of pedestrian bridge at Dornot. The ped. bridge was an easy landmark for stretcher bearers etc. to drop wounded or pick up ammo & food. All had to use boats to paddle across the river observed in daylight or pull along ropes at night.

The ped. bridge across the tracks is just below the lower lagoon. We visited this whole area on our WWII museum trip to Europe.
