Lol dave, yes ramblings making sense, but its not the size of the model thats caused issues, its the poor moulding or tooling,
This corsair was working great until i came to affix the main wing assy to the fuselage, where it showed that the lower wing part was obviously moulded badly and didnt line up with the fuselage. Also the wings were only held on by very small pieces, on a swivel which didnt support the wings, unfortunately, you dont find that out until its too late!
And then finally the raised detail is a silly idea to me, you cant sucessfully sand any area needing filler without removing it.
So what have i learned?
First, im now researching my kits i buy, to see if theres any negative comments about fthem from folk who actually built them, and wether theyre raised detail or not,
Also im finding that i enjoy the painting side of armoured vehicles a lot more than planes and such like.
