These barers won't be seen and are supposed to be treated but I have given them a coat of preservative for extra longevity.

Looks nicely machined Ken .
A good idea to apply the coat of preservative, pressurised timber looks ok from the out side , but cut into it and you will see it only goes a very little way in.Worth that extra effort.:thumb2:

Stained the boards which will be up against the fence and started painting the underneath of the floorboards and painted the window frame.

This is as far as I got before rain stopped play, looking forward to tomorrow.
There was a bit of swearing involved doing the door frame, I was holding 2 bits together and screwing at the same time (with a cordless screwdriver) and I mast have had so of the skin of my finger in-between the 2 bits of wood and when they pulled together they squashed that skin (that was very painful.

That looks great Ken! A lovely hot tub that you and the missus can relax in. You both deserve that mate.

Nothing like the feeling of success when you achieve something like that Ken .

Thanks John I've got to admit I'm knackered at 64 I'm amazed I can even do this ( probably have a coronary now)

Thanks mate, how's things with you

Arthritis bad and going to be checked for Young Onset Parkinson's disease, you know, the usual stuff that us oldies seem to be getting. If I get that bad that modelling is really a struggle I will just imagine that I am learning again and make glue bombs LOL.

More done to the hot tub cabin.
Those dors took 3 hrs to fits they didnt bind or catch anywhere (I'm sure when the weight of the glass is in them I will have to re adjust again) loads more to do yet but the bulk of it is done now.

So our boss kindly gave us Christmas eve off (love where I work) so I glazed the summer house and stained it with sadolin unfortunately swmbo didn't like the colour, fortunately I agree, so we bought some cornflower stain and this is the first coat (which I must admit I like much better, goes with the cream really well)

Our friend is coming round tomorrow (he owns a flooring business)

To put some 1/4 inch ply on the floor and half way up the wall then cover it with vinyl.
