Congrats on that mate, thats a good price to clear some space for more models!\ said:I got £24.50 for the Flakvierling......... and £ 23.00 for the STS Tiger .............. I`m happy with that.
Thanks Geoff.\ said:Glad you are happy with what you got Peter. It's touch and go on Flea bay, sometimes you sell, sometimes you don't. I think it depends on who is looking for what and what they are prepared to bid for it. I have sold stuff I never thought would sell and other times stuff that I thought that would sell, never got any bids.
Thanks Dougie...........Although I really am not sure I want anything right now. I have models stacking up to be built .......... Although another motorbike kit wouldn't go amiss\ said:Congrats on that mate, thats a good price to clear some space for more models!
I know what you mean. Couple of years ago I saw an Airfix Victory go for about £240 (more than double the new price in the shops!) with over a dozen bidders. I put the exact same kit up for sale and didn't even get a watcher!\ said:Glad you are happy with what you got Peter. It's touch and go on Flea bay, sometimes you sell, sometimes you don't. I feel the same mate, I have like 30 model cars to do, there are only a few more on my list at the moment but you just don't want to miss some... however bloomin Tamiya have just announced a re-release of the alfa 155 and I paid lik £50 quid for one!!!! they will be about £25 bucks argh, my saving grace will be more aftermarket parts available although I grudge another £40 just on fibre decals. wonder what else will be released??? Also have the 2 new bellkits on order.\ said:Thanks Dougie...........Although I really am not sure I want anything right now. I have models stacking up to be built .......... I think the Yoshimura Hyabusa looks favourite right now ......... On Evilbay from Japan for £ 21.90 .......... although John does have, what looks good, a Tacom 1/35 MKIV Male Tank on offer in the shop thank has caught my attention ........... But I know bugger all about Tacom kits.\ said:I feel the same mate, I have like 30 model cars to do, there are only a few more on my list at the moment but you just don't want to miss some... however bloomin Tamiya have just announced a re-release of the alfa 155 and I paid lik £50 quid for one!!!! they will be about £25 bucks argh, my saving grace will be more aftermarket parts available although I grudge another £40 just on fibre decals. wonder what else will be released??? they built the Tacom Morser and have looked at other kits I think, as far as what I've seen on the webernets they make some fine kits... but I haven't built any armour or war machines mind!
you didn't exactly hang around haha\ said:
...While the iron is hot and all that........... I do enjoy building the bikes........ and I reckon they are probably what I'm best at. I've turned out some really first class examples...... and they don't take up much space. Perhaps I ought to just concentrate on them.\ said:you didn't exactly hang around haha
I won't agree to the part about sticking to one thing... you will build better bikes messing about building other shizzle! can you provide some links to more of your other bike builds? My interest is piqued\ said:...While the iron is hot and all that........... I do enjoy building the bikes........ and I reckon they are probably what I'm best at. Try these ........ The Katana is my favourite. Started as the standard bike until I "chopped it up"............. Closely followed by the Valentino Rossi, 2003 Valencia "Austin Powers" Honda.\ said:I won't agree to the part about sticking to one thing... you will build better bikes messing about building other shizzle! can you provide some links to more of your other bike builds? Nice mate, love the Honda, I like the look of the race bikes but the Suzi is also sleek and I like what you did with it- very different\ said:Try these ........ The Katana is my favourite.
