Sorry Duncan I have no idea what you just said :smile8:ask him to show you some "chrome" Eurostyle medium a la ITV Morning News heading.
That was one of the main prerequisite's for itSee you took my advice John and managed to combine a wider range of models in the header. :cheeseygr
Getting very close' date=' agree about italics on the .co.uk., keep all lettering vertical and same size. The tan background to the title obscures the ship, slightly bolder and 3D true chrome (with less yellow) would apparently sit on top of the illustrations. Other variation of metal lettering could be polished brass. This would eliminate need for coloured (tan) panel. Would have prefered steam loco but the Deltic will do. Hope this isnt costing a load of cash !!![/quote']*** Good observations Duncan,I could not work out in my mind about that tan background but you have spotted it,did you work in illustration once or an art studio ?
I was an Air Ministry illustrator for 12 years' date=' on loan to 1631st A.B.Sqdn USAF based at Green Site(now HMS Gannet) on the military side of Prestwick International , the same side as S.A.L. Later went to USA, lived in New Hampshire and Maine for 4 years designing and screen-printing T-shirts. Never got west of Indiana but "did" whole eastern side from Florida to Nova Scotia in Canada. Not coals to Newcastle as most designs were Scottish heritage stuff , Clan badges and so on except for the aviation, car racing and skiing ones. Well three out of four aint that bad. No business sense or Green Card so back to reality. It was fun though.[/quote']*** Wow,Duncan ! you did it that is the main thing, wish now that I had gone Stateside when I was younger,so much opportunity, they tell me that does not matter whether you collect refuse or a designer, they treat you the same, the quality of life seems very high in comparison to here, these modellers that have gone out there,Dave Platt doing well with Topflite,Eric Clutton selling diesels they appear to have all done well, the land of opportunity and above all freedom to fly your own aeroplane, without too much hassle either,a beautiful country indeed.
You really have worn the T-Shirt,there is a lot of luck involved no doubt.
