More than one way to sneak the odd kit in without going through the front door. Buy one, let her know what you've done, then arrange for it to arrive when she is out. Then when the other five kits you have purchased arrive, and if she happens to be home, nip out to the garage or shed, swap the huge package for your single parcel and bring that inside for her to see.

I buy them when shes not with me or get them delivered when ses out. Then i will buy a cheap one when she is with me and buy her a little something. keeps her happy and keeps plenty of models in the stash

I get around it buy valuing kits in terms of clothing, i.e. This is only half a skirt/dress/handbag/hairdo/face cream (delete as appropriate) dear!!
