Just thought for anyone in or near Glasgow. Theirs a new model shop. Called AMS paints. They are in armadale street Glasgow. Just off Alexandra parade

Very reasonable prices and run by a husband and wife team. Very friendly and helpful

They also do a mail order service

That’s great news

No where near close enough for me but it’s nice to hear of someone bucking the trend and opening a model shop instead of closing one.

I hope they are well supported and it’s successful

Rare to see a new model shop these days, especially the traditional type

Miko (the smell of a model shop reminds me of when I was a lad!)

I'd gladly take the run through from Edinburgh if they have enough stock worth talking about. I'd probably have issues parking but as I said ..... if i'm not going through to a half empty shop ..... it could be worthwhile. I like to chew the fat with shop owners.

Cup of coffee on offer ( I'll pay for it ) and a good reason to stay for an hour or two and I'd be there.

I'll check out their website .... that should give an indication.

Shop is packed. Have a good Ange of everything military. Aircraft. Boats. Cars. And stock ak paints etc

Thinking about an away day when I come back from Cyprus at the end of August. I'll check what train station is nearest and take myself on a shopping spree.

Glasgow Central station. Then a 38 first bus from hope street to alexandra parade. Bus stop is right outside main entrance to grand central hotel at Gordon Street
