***Richard, its not rubbish, but a clever bit of use for sprue, dont undermine yourself, you gave it a go and thats what counts,I like the ingenuity and you made it from junk.

for some reason it is not letting me put a picture up, i will put it in the gallery......i know its rubish but its just to give you guys an idea of what to make, as soon as i have something worth winning i will start up a comp. :-)

thanks Barry, il put my artistic head on now...

what i have done here is taken from the clasic sculptures of mangled up bicicles that are nothing but junk, and made a mangled up bike..from junk!

im quite supprised, apart from the wheels everything is in perportion,(its quite hard to soften spru and get it to go into a circle.

il get a better pic up soon!

Richard,

Just goes to show what a bit of imagination can come up with. Lovely job and a source of inspiration to us all to give it a go. Coat of paint and you would never know it was sprue.

Thanks for sharing.

For round items such as the wheels I am sure that if you wrapped the soft, hot, sprue around a circular former, such as a broom handle etc., you would get a nice even curvature.

You may find that you need to heat a longer portion of the sprue so you may have to use something like a hair dryer as opposed to a flame.
