So guys wheres the next show(s). Ive court the show bug

There is the War and Peace show with lots of large real stuff at Paddock Wood Kent in a couple of weeks.

Hi Alex,

There's always the big one! That's the IPMS show at Telford on November 13 and 14.

I'm hoping to go again this year but that will depend on my success (or lack of it) looking for another job!

Well, fingers crossed for you Dave as I know how much you enjoy the shows. Fancy Telford but it is on the outer limits of our comfortable distance and driving back in the dark aint much fun for my long suffering Kate who has been an absolute angel for taking me to shows and other events this year.

As a side thing, is anyone a member of the IPMS on here?

While at the Peterborough Show early this year, a guy on one of the IPMS tables said that as a member, I could add a build to the table next year if I let them know in time. Now I know some may feel that wanting to display at a show is a bit conceited but I wouldn't mind having a go at it.

As far as i know it is £20 per year to join and you get a magazine. What I cannot understand is the fact that you have to write to them with a cheque to join... I don't even have a cheque book, not had one for years. You would think something like am International Society would have moved into the 19 century by now, or have I got it wrong?

Never been to War and Peace either but I have seen lots of great stuff on the counties' roads going too and from.

I'm unlikely to go as I get seriously cheesed off with the traffic queues you always get at these events.

For a number of years I cursed the County Show for screwing up my commute, so now I don't have to, I try not to volunteer for queues!

never been to a show could be a giggle or two, Might have tobribe the wife though took her to a flight sim convention in blackpool 5 years ago and still in the dog house after I wanted to sit in on a talk on VLS landing and navigation lol.

Well she did marry me (she's still looking at the marrige cert for the refund replace terms and conds)
