No Bench Time.................

Glad things are improving Dave. As I said earlier the lamp certainly helped my wife. Just use it regularly and give it time to have the best results.

Aside from the 3D printing, I've really been getting the urge to get back to the bench and do some building. I did sit down, and look at the WIP on the desk, but decided to ditch it all. - Then, of course that means what am I going to choose for a renaissance project? I've decided on 1/35, in all probability WWII. It should be something that I've never tried before, or such a long time ago I can barely remember it - which includes a Tiger
These have caught my eye
Academy Tiger ( with interior )
Academy M7 Priest
Dragon M4 (105 )
Takom M3 Lee ( early )
HobbyBoss Pz IV Ausf. C ( ex Tristar )
Of course I could wake up tomorrow, and feel the irresistible urge to pick up the Revell 'Big Boy' locomotive.........................
As they say, " I used to be indecisive, but now I'm not sure "

Added to the list
Zvezda Stug IV
Zvezda M4A2 Sherman
Today, I'm going to check all the contents of my listed models, and see which one, if any really grabs my interest - if not, I'm certain I'll find something in the stash.............

Hi Dave - I've only just joined the forum and we've not met/talked (yet), but having just read through this thread I'm really glad to hear you're on the up and I hope you continue to do so. Dealing with depression, or metal illness is never easy, but the self-realisation that you have a problem is a HUGE first step and I wish you well in the future.

It also says a lot about this form that you've been able to, and felt you could, share your problems with everybody, and the kind of supportive responses you've had tell me I've come to the right place.

Keep well.

WELCOME Arnold an yes youre on the best forum goin hope you enjoy it like i have as ive been on here for about 5 yrs an had a most enjoyable time as the guys on here talk each an every day

Already rejected two - the Tiger & the Dragon M4 - the Tiger, due to the complete interior, and the Dragon M4 because the sight of their instructions, and typical sprues brought back bad memories! ;)
Dave

From what I've heard about the Dragon Sherman's, that's probably a good idea!

another reject - the Academy Priest - I don't like the feel of the vinyl tracks! The Academy Priest retails for about £32, the Airfix Priest - the Academy model reboxed, with different decals - is around £10 more expensive - go figure!

That does seem rather strange - but them I suppose that's commerce for you lol!

Have you got a shortlist yet Dave?

Down to 3 - Takom M3 Lee, Zvezda M4A2 Sherman, Zvezda Stug IV. The first two are essentially Olive Drab, the Stug can have a choice of camo patterns of a lot of variations - airbrush work.
I'm going to sit down, open the boxes & see which seems to be the friendliest!

Decision finally made - the rest of the short list are back to the substitutes bench ( the stash ), and my choice is the Takom M3 Lee - I can't remember actually having made a Takom product before, so this is a first!
Dave

Excellent Choice - The M3 Lee's a really interesting subject that I'd like to tackle one day. Looking forward to seeing the build.

Decision made Dave. I'll keep an eye out for the thread and follow along. I always thought the Lee/Grant tanks were odd looking beasties, interesting but odd.

Dave,
Good to see you making progress, sorting out what might and might not be the next build, even if you end up painting the cork from the Champagne bottle, it's a start....
