discussion Noobs first attempt FW 190D-9

Hey everyone here are pics of the 1/32 scale fw190d-9 by hasegawa, I will preface this by saying I didnt really follow the color chart(used the colors I had) I built this for my foster son, so with that in mind that's why the swastikas are absent(my wife said so...lol) I used this as a learning experience, to better my skills, so I'll tell you things I learned

1) keep the cockpit glass masked until the end.

2) probably should have wet sanded the paint.

3) Decals kicked my ass..lol

First Attempt?

Taking account for the things you have said yourself I will say that it looks very well built and the paintwork looks good as well. A nice finish.

I will look forwards to seeing a serious attempt !!

thanks for the nice comments everyone, my next project will be another fw190A-3 by tamiya only in 1/48 scale i opened the box yesterday and its tiny...lol
