Probably safest to use thinners from the same manufacturer as the paint.

Pete

That's fine if you want to cane your wallet!

I've never done that for any of the enamel paints I use, because I can buy 2 litres of white spirit for less than eight quid. Compare that to the price of, say, Testors enamel thinners at around a fiver for 8 oz! Their brush cleaner ( for which white spirit is an adequate substitute) can cost that for 1 3/4 oz....yikes!!!

These are scams in everything but name.

Cheers

Steve

Steve, you're right, but for a newcomer to airbrushing, using lacquers for the first time, the manufacturer's thinners is safest. Not the cheapest, or even the most cost-effective, but the safest.

2 litres of white spirit for less than £8? I'd want 5L for that!
