I've finished this.
Thanks to those good folks who posted nice and encouraging comments during the build.

Here comes the tidal surge......

I'll post some more pickies over in 'Completed Dioramas' asap.

Cheers.

I can almost hear the ripple of the sea, and the gulls sqwaking in the background... Great job.

Just a minor thought. If the tide is coming in from that way, shouldn't there be land in the background?

Unless he came down on the Goodwin sands cricket pitch!

Sorry, I really can't understand your reason for suggesting the composition of the model is somehow wrong. Now't wrong with that, mind. Your choice.

It's just that your post totally baffles me.....I'll leave it at that.

'How many times do you think the tide goes in and out?"
'Four, or six?'
'Good job the Navy is running this show then'

Not the composition, far from it. I'm just overthinking the background. Tides go IN toward land is all, and in my mind's eye I see white cliffs behind...

Now, my partner, former RAF photograper, suggested taking the whole thing down to Dungeness and getting the Channel in the background!
I think THAT would be a bit much. Me, I'd just have a blurry picture of Walmington-on-Sea pier as a backdrop!

'That sense of humour of mine... It isn't funny at all'
