discussion P-40c decals...............help!

Hi all

Have just purchased Academy's 1/48 P-40c and it comes with two decal options both of which are fyling tiger sets. I'd really like to make this P-40c as a fighter that would have been at Pearl Harbour or kicking ass in the pacific but have struggled to find any decals online. Firstly if anyone knows where I can get some that would be great or if any one knows if I can get away with using decals of a different variant but using them on the P-40c?????? (my aircraft knowledge is lacking I'm afraid)

Any help would be gratefully recieved.

I read a while ago that Yellow Wings were set to release some decals for early P-40s. They may be available now. Hannants would be your best bet.

More time & had a nose at the decals Chris. Two of the army types were used at Bellows & Wheeler fields at the time of Pearl Harbour.

If you click on the decal sheets listed they come up with information on when & where they were used.

Hi Chris,

If you know what the decals you need look like, could you not get some decal ( Experts Choice Clear Decal Film 11 X 8 5 215mm X 280mm EC121 ) from John and print them out yourself...
