Most probably a really silly question so sorry in advance. I am looking for a table to make into my spray booth while trying to keep the cost as low as possible is 70cm x 50cm big enough or would 80cm x 80cm be better ?

I used old shelves, chipboard, old extractor fan and bits and bobs to build mine. You don't have to spend a fortune. I first mounted on an old PC stand, but in the end it was too low for my liking, so I have mounted on top of my work bench at the end of the garage. I use a cheap extractor hose to vent and and cheap filter paper for a cooker extractor as a filter medium. The lighting is from an LED strip light.

Thankyou that's the type of thing I had in mind to start off with but room for me is a bit of a problem so I have just ordered one of these http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/360953150550 which means If I have guests I can fold it out of the way some where

Aah, I see!!

So, you will be looking for a lightweight collapsable spray booth. My "design" may be too chunky for the camping table.

When initially researching spraybooths, I've seen guys build their out of paper coated foam boards, but I'm sure there are light weight out of the box options...

I am thinking of using double walled corrugated cardboard as that will cost me nothing and I can get it when ever I want some, make a booth clamp it to the table and when it gets really dirty just replace it that way keeps the space saving aspect to it as well

Be aware of using cardboard as it can some times be a dust monster.

Good alternatives are thin aluminium sheet, that can often be bought at DIY stores, pop riveted together on piano hinges so it can be folded up.

Some craft shops sell corrugated plastic that is smooth on both sides, very light and strong. People also use it for RC aircraft so a RC shop might have it as well.

Just a thought I have had mainly because I can get hold of them are those large plywood tool chest things. ....

ive always used a big plastic storage box for a paint booth.....couple of cheapo pc fans with some scrap wood to make chamber to hold them, most expensive thing was a tumble dryer flexi hose to vent out the window...........think the first one cost about 30 quid and lasted about 4 years before i had to replace the box and fans

i used to have it on a window sill so it vented straight out of the window, these days it sits on an old wooden hifi stand, just the right height and give strage for paint

that was the original before it got used for the first time
