How you managed all those cobbles is beyond me Tom! 11/10 for effort ;)

Using cork for paving slabs is a clever idea! I'm nicking that one!

Thanks Patrick and I really am happy those cobbles are finished:eek: Id got to the point where I wish I hadn`t started it:rolleyes:

Now for the slabbing:D

I know what you mean. I'm trying to get some colour variation on the bricks for my building GB. Painting them individually in 1/72 wasn't such a good idea!

Hi Dave it always starts of as a good idea...until you start it;)

Yeah. Starting it was easy! Half way through after nearly three days is when it starts to get harder .....

Tell me about it, your not wrong....I think I`ve got to the point where, once started, got to get it finished;)

Just a small update on the slabbing, I have set the cork slabbing for the pavement around the park entrance this was done using pieces of cork cut to size and filed edges using an emery board:rolleyes: these were then glued into place and then a plaster mix was smoothed in between them to create a cement finish and to add texture to the cork...hope you like them:)

That really looks the business Tommy! Will you be doing something similar with the road surface?

Thread owner
Hi Dave, yes the paving will get a similar treatment to the pavements, going to start the other side of the street pavements now, hopefully they will look as good, got to distress the paving slabs a little more for a more worn look;) then the shell crater will get some attention:rolleyes:

I was worried a watered down slurry would crack but instead looks really nice.

Pat on the back due buddy.

Thanks for that Patrick, got more of them to do today, hopefully that will be the majority of the ground work done

This looks good, interesting to see how these things are done if only I had space for some big dios.
