An oldie

I have 3 Gernan vehicles in my immediate stash and it turns out the decal sheet for each has Divisional markings for the 15th Tank Division which was part of the Afrika Korps....fought in various engagements til defeated at the Battle of El Alamein

so a series of Afrika Korps it is.....starting with this golden oldie..new tool in 1971....give me oppertunity to play with some sand wash i have

shouldnt take long to build.......not many bits.

Made abit of a booboo

Sprayed it up in dark yellow last night
Got up this morning and my first thought was 'you forgot the panzer grey!'

My plan was to have a play with maskol to try and mimic some worn paint....some thing ive not tried for must be 10 years

So now ive splodged on a bit of panzer grey here and there

Realised why i gave up on maskol now all those years ago.....cos i found the hair spray technique better

next step is decals and another coat of clear.....dont know what im going to do with weathering yet
