Ah that sucks, but hardly surprising. I don't rate Eduard kits very highly either. I've built a couple but find them very over-rated.
The Mig-15 is such a sexy little jet, much nicer looking than the F-86. It's been a while since I've built one but I always liked the little Hobbyboss kit in 1/72, for both the single and two seater. HB easy kits get over looked a lot, but they're nice little kits - I'd recommend them. Here's a link to the last one I built.
One of the most fun Mig-15's I ever built was the 1/72 Airfix kit - it was a blast. Such a shame they messed up the scale.
