discussion PC VERY SLOW AN FREEZING

Hi all do any of you keep having trouble with slow running or mainly for me pc freezeing as I have just bought a brand new pc an arfter just 3wks of running it crashed an had to be repaid. So I keep thinking now when it freezes is my pc still faulty ? chris

Hi Peter if you think its the trouble then you may be right as when I bought the pc in the shop they said I live in a low m/b eara now as I have moved house in the last couple of yrs but ive only moved about half a mile from old house an when I was on windows vista I never had this amount of trouble. So looks like im stuck with it then anyway Peter many thanks for your advice chris

It could be the internet access speed. My first question would be to check if the freezes happen only when trying to access the internet or at other times.

Even if you are running antiviral software, which i presume you are, you could try Malwarebytes. Basic version is free to use and is good at getting rid of malware that is not flagged as a virus, that may help with things.

Make and Model number ?
SSD or HDD ?
Operating system ?

I have had few problems with computers except when a HDD is faulty which can drastically slow a laptop/pc down.
I use hard disk sentinel 5.30 pro , a 30 day try before you buy product to test hdd's.

Might also be worth running a net speed connection checker. There are plenty of free ones around. That would tell you what upload and download speed you are actually getting, so giving you something to go from when discussing it with your network provider...

Hi guys thanks for info most of whitch I don't understand im afraid as im new to these new pc.But thankfully the damm thing has gone perfect all morning so i'll see if my luck holds. an my wife's friend sue says its because of slow web as her pc is goin v- slooooow cheers chris
