Often wanted to do another truck (last one I did was a wrecker pulling a smashed up campervan) but that was at least 30 yrs ago, will be watching this one.

Nothing iff it were just the block, but the whole engine, filter's pip's & all, yuck.

I like the American haulers, I fancy getting the revell marmon with the stars and stripes finish but I've never built a truck (driven some!). I'll keep a beady eye on this one! :)

Making a start on the paintwork, First the punch hole's are filled & sanded then the whole thing is rubbed down with P800 wet & dry to give a key for the paint to grip to, then the whole thing is washed down with warm soppy water & dried off.


I first spray the inside of the bonnet, if i sprayed the outside first i stand a good chance of messing up my work when i spray the inside.


Black is not the final color it's going to be IRIDESCENT PINK/GOLD i hope.View attachment 239251

Not happy with the finish one or two imperfections so rubbed it down again with P1200 & resprayed again, much better this time, what u think

Wont buff it up till tomorrow when paint has completely gone off then on with the top coat.

You can see the colour change John awesome work with the spraying this is going to look fantastic
