This post replaces the accidentally deleted GB posts from the 2025 GB thread.
This build took place around July/August 2025.
The proposed build was to have both US and German Troops at rest, chilling out, relaxing, not on the front line.
The diorama used two previously build vehicles, eg: US Willys Jeep and German Kupelwagon and also utilised a few suitably posed US and German troop figures.
Each side (US and German) would occupy one half of a diorama, separated by a mid divider on the diorama, the two sides not connecetd, apart from each showing the troops at rest.
The US side shows troop resting in a muddy field, sitting in a large bomb crater.
The German side shows troops resting at a roadside check point.

Build progress in July/Aug 2025....
Starting the dio base....
Slowly adding shape and texture, using pva, filler, bits of carved foam board, paving slabs and curbing stones were plasti card cut to shape/size and stuck down. Road surface (cobbles) was done using a small textured roller.

More progress on the build, July/Aug 2025...
Started on some figures and priming the base...
Making some accessories, starting to paint the base, adding some small details, small wall, gate, etc.
NB: road barrier, checkpoint hut, etc just placed for now to see what the layout will look like, not final yet.

Slowly adding more colour and texture, bits of debris, mud, rocks, small plants, etc
A little remnant of a building on the German side, some grass added, more accessories made.
Dividing partition, now painted to add a scenic look.
