As the title say's this will be RMS Olympic post Titanic disaster.


I have on order some 60 build the titanic magazines and I have also received all the deck fittings and railings.


The only thing i had to do has been to scratch build the first 2 frames and4 bulk heads and the fore deck,here are some pics

I'll be watching this one closely. I tried an artesania latina mare nostrum wooden boat last year and it completely beat me so it will be great to pick up some tips.

This looks like a mammoth task, I recently made a model of the Titanic lifeboat by  artesania latina, and learnt a lot about model boat construction (that means I made lots of mistakes). I am glad you have spare lifeboats as the original Titanic did not have enough. I look forward to seeing progress on this project.

Well here I go with the main build the first to be done is all the keel and bulkheads to be put together.


The only thing I have had to do has to scratch build the first to keel sections and bulkheads and the last three bulkheads and the bow deck

Good morning all here's what i been up to with this build,all the first lot of decks are on and planking has now commenced the main thing on this build is the lower half color on both well decks  is shown as yellow but a once over with the correct color and all is right

After another two day's the first layer of planking has finally been finished and for once it's gone well all i to do is a lot of sanding before the next stage.

Very nice work on the planking Peter and it should look stunning once it's sanded.

Once again after an afternoons sanding it looks a lot better and from now on I will be using the numbered magazines.


This stage I will be starting no 25 witch is were I start the marking out for the second layer of planking.

Well here's where i am at all the first layer of planking has been finished and sanded and I am now on the second layer one side has been one and portholes drilled out but yet to be sanded but its all filled and ready

I have moved onto magazine 31 which involves work on the bow and stern first and second pic shows the parts used and where they go,and the rest what mine looks but it will still need tidying and sanding

Afternoon all here's where I am at I have finished the hull along with the many portholes and with the first coat of paint.


And I have completed all the cabin walls on the promenade deck and next up will be the boat deck

Hello all here,s how we are going on this one, i have finished all the boat deck buildings and have finished the promenade deck side's but still have to trim and fit them.


And i have started the four funnels I will only show the one,all I have to do is trim them to size and sand and filler if needed.
