Hi thanks for the answers

Mmm what scale and mark? well Ive challenged myserlf to build as many of the variants as I can lay my hands on over a period of time and although Ive started with 1/72 Im looking at doing 1/48 and 1/32 as well (particularly the 1/48)

hannants are good and stock quite a lot of aires stuff but if you go on meteorproducts they stock many many different makes, go to "search our catolouge" and type in spitfire and you will see the range of different things in different scales. ranging from stencils to photo etched and resin sets and even canopies.

hope it helps.

eduard do some good stuff too.

but i agree with Nigel. aires are very good (hence why i have spent over £100 on their stuff lol)

Mail order from anywhere in the world is now very easy and increasingly quick. You don't have to limit yourself to he UK nowadays. I bought a cockpit resin set from a place in Canada which I found after a search.

very true richard. and the US-GBP exchange rate is pretty good at the moment ($30 - £16)

I agree with Richard, my top list is:

1)Eduard

2)Pavla

3)Aires

4)AAM (injected parts, sadly now OOP)

5)Black Box

Paragon are also worth a mention as being brilliant!

Can also try modelsforsale.com, although they seem to specialise in "extratech". Never heard of them before I saw the modelsforsale website!
