The Beech twin engine passenger/transport first flew in 1937 0 it was adopted into military service quickly & used as a training/communication/vip transport. The RAF & RN received them under lend-lease.
This model originated with Pioneer 2 in 1987. It is now produced by PM from Turkey in several boxings, some with different parts & decals.

Decals may be OK , but don't look particularly sharp - the transparencies are rather thick.
Instructions - Folded Glossy Colour A4 - it's a bit small, but it is there!

Colour Profiles of both options - some other makers could take note of the style............

Certainly a contrast between the silver Navy version & the camouflaged Far East RAF aircraft.

Trench like panel lines on the fuselage may not show under a primer and basecoat

Slight sinkage on the tailplane a little filler needed.

Lines for the elevators & flaps will need deepening a bit
DSCF3868.JPGTail fin has a little flash, but nothing serious

Detail is a bit soft in places - but you can get away with it in 1/72.

After reviews of more sophisticated models, this really does go back to the 70s/80s. Very little detail in the cabin/wheel wells, but overall it looks the part - 2 totally different colour schemes is good, and the model is well presented. Very suitable for a beginner, but I think with a little work this could be turned into a little stunner - maybe some new decals.
Availability? - Yes John has it in stock in the shop for the ridiculous price of £7.19! If you're looking to experiment with a natural metal finish this could be a good guinea pig. PM do a range of 1/72 aircraft some good, some pretty dire ( like the Spitfire Floatplane I did for the GB ). It's worth having a look to see what they produce - the lower price end of the market is often overlooked.............

Thanks Dave ,for the price and a little tlc could be wort a punt ,especially if like me I keep threatening a wingy thing.

Go on. You know you want to. Find your nearest Aldi!
Andrew ive quite a few wingy things in the stash ,I quite often look but think all that cockpit faf half of them don't even come with harness ,landing gear Wells that once built who turns their model over mask up the canopy its endless ,I love what all the guys do on here and follow with admiration and jealousy but I fear it will take a knock on the door from the wingy police with a kick in the rear wearing boots like they belong to coco the clown(size not colour)to fully motivate me. I'll keep a eye on flea Bay for a tamiya one something a bit shake and bake.
I did once nearly finish one does 1/144count

In an seriousness, you should see the first plane I did since coming back to the hobby..... It makes me shudder.... But it also makes me realise how far I've come in only a handful of kits.
