Hi All,

I've been trying to obtain a Missing Decal sheet from a certain (probably best left nameless) kit manufacturer. Quite reasonably they want 5 Euros for it............ and then they tried to rob me for 4 Euros postage????? ........... 1 Envelope with one decal sheet in it ?????

Why keep the name to your self? I am of the opinion that if a company is taking the mick, they deserve hanging out.

Unfortunately postage is one of the things that you have to suffer. I would be more upset after paying the £3 postage it came with a stamp on for £1. Thats when to complain.

Eduard.......... There I did it. I lso sent them an email telling them what I thought of their customer service.

Hi,

Over the last two years my experience of Eduard replacing parts has been little variable and perhaps could be summed up as “at least they tried”. First off I asked them to replace an incorrect sprue for a 1/48 Hellcat kit, the kit had the -5 fuselage when it should have had a -3. They sent a replacement fuselage but it was another -5 at which point I simple gave up and built the kit as a -5 altering it as necessary and using alternative decals,well they may have miss understood my e-mail.

Second occasion concerned an Eduard 1/48 Spitfire 22/24 the resin seat frame work was shattered,I e-mailed asking for a replacement had no reply, around three months later a small box arrived with a complete set of resin parts for the kit,by which time I'd scratch built a replacement seat support and built the model!

To their credit I should say they never asked forpayment for the items or postage and packing.

Can't say I have anything bad to rant about them..

The two occasions I dealt with them they came through for me , albeit after a week/ten days

Maybe my "rantogram" to them will spur them into some kind of action. We will see.

When I first read the heading I thought it was going to be about some of the postage prices on E-Bay, you can't, or at least I can't find any bargains anymore due to some of the postal prices people have on their listings, and until they come down my E-Bay days are over...

But, as Ian said...: -

That's the only time I'd have a moan, if anyone is to blame it's the Post Office and their ridiculously high new price's...

Whats the Kit buddy I build mostly Eduard and you usually get loads of spare decals if i got em you can have em.

It's not really for a kit Martin........ What I'm really after is 1/48 scale WWII Soviet Red Stars ((4 off) and a couple of either red or black Numeral "1" or "2" for the Vought Kingfisher I'm building is Soviet Trim. I picked the Eduard route as one of their kits has the appropriate decals included. So if you have any spare they'd be greatly appreciated and I'll return the favour with a "beer token" or two.

You are an absolute Star .......... That would be great.

I've tried the Private Message Thing. I think I sent it ok, but nothing showing in my sent folder ??? Maybe it takes while to show up there or maybe our "Gas Powered" internet here at work is topping something.........

I'll try again from home tonight if not. I'll just give you my address on here. No problem.............I get enough junk mail as it is anyway, and I've never been stalked (might be novel experience) and I very much doubt the Paparrazi will have any interest in me.
