Been fun seeing what people have got - enough to keep most of us busy (even though some folks are going to have to rely on their stashes!). [Revell seem to have done quite well out of us...!]

Pauline, not sidetracked at all - that was the point of this thread :-) I think an airbrush is my next goal, perhaps for May birthday. Have already started dropping hints at home, but so far the only response has been steely glaring and being told there are more important things that need spending money on around the house. Priorities! Sob.

Alan, the Enterprise isn't that fussy at all really - in fact I'm finding it a bit devoid of detail. for instance, the only decals are a few big "65" markings for the island and runway - no other deck markings or "Beware Jet Blast" stencils, etc, and no decals or even painting instructions for any of the planes (which are really very simple and unimpressive one-piece moulds for the most part). As we wait for some paints (well more accurately as we wait for me to get of my bum and go down to the LHS to buy some paints!) I'm torn between spending a bit of time on it, doing some research and getting things right, and just getting it done so The Boy can start messing around with it, allowing me to get on with the Spit which I'm more into.

OK, not strictly Christmas presents, but I did get them in the boxing day sales at a local hobby shop that was offering 25% off everything in the store.
