Since I moved things have been a bit busy travelling for work and bits in the new apartment for my wife.

However, I have now managed to start work on my new workspace.
As I am now in a top floor apartment I needed to improve the vibration deadening on my compressor. So I sandwiched a piece of wood between 2 pieces of rubber mat (the sort sold as squares for gym equipment and weights) and then mounted the compressor to that recessing the bolts underneath into the wood. On a test run it seems to do the trick.

And the new spray booth is assembled and ready for use, close to the window for good light and ease of running the vent pipe out.

Thanks guys. I will post some more as I get the wotk done.

The only reason it is so clean is it is new and unused, but it won't remain that way. Although I am going to try a tip I read which is to line the spray booth with cling film which you can replace periodically to keeep it clean whilst maximising light through the walls.

Bargain self healing cutting mat. I acquired this in badly warped condition when work threw it out.
Last night I placed it on a flat towel, placed a wet towel on top and spent 15 minutes ironing it on the highest setting. This left it all rubbery. Then laid on a flat surface under a sheet of cardboard with books piled on top overnight. Today I have a flat cutting mat as good as new.

A bit more progress for you, the Hobbyzone modular storage units are now assembled and in place.

I was impressed with the way these units went together and am thinking of getting some more to come round the corner.

Modelling can now recommence. :)

Apologies for a little bit of thread necromancy, a couple more pictures of my workshop space now the second order of HobbyZone units have been assembled and are in place. Still one or two bits to find a home for, but complete for the time being. Also now work is back in progress not looking so neat and tidy.
