discussion Resin casting kits?

Hi all,

Can someone advise me on buying a resin casting kit, I need to cast two engines for a project I am working on as there aren't enough in the kit so I figure a resin casting kit is the way to go. I've had a quick look but there seems to be so many different kits and I don't wish to buy the wrong one, so any help/guidance would be welcomed.

I've used one of these resin kits in the past, worked very well

I get all my stuff from TOMPS

Some RTV and a resin set costs less than 20 quid

I've used it many times, brilliant stuff

I have just tried some off E-Bay as it was cheap and thought I would give it a go ( Fast Cast Polyurethane Liquid Plastic Casting Resin Kit 250g 240 ml | eBay ), it seems to have had a bit of a reaction though, I have washed them, sanded and then washed them again, yet they are still doing this, I have tried them on a couple of different pieces but still get this reaction, anyone have any ideas please (sorry for the thread hi-jack)...: -

P.S... I hadn't glued this, I just popped it on to see how it looked and left it on there for a few hours...
