Finished at last! My first, and probably last, 1/144 kit. Highly recommended if you like tiny stuff - very little cleanup needed, no fit issues at all, very little filler needed, nice crisp moulding on the canopy frame so it was fairly easy to mask. Instructions get a bit vague when it comes to the underwing stores, there's no guidance on which weapons are appropriate to the RAF or German schemes, or which stores use which pylons, so I had to do a bit of guesswork research.
Should have been an easy paint job as it's the same colour all over, but my jar of Tamiya XF19 seems to come out a slightly different shade every time I use it, in spite of stirring with a Badger stirrer. I damaged the paintwork on the starboard side of the vertical stab after fitting the decals, so touched it in, but it looks pretty awful.P1160086.JPGP1160087.JPGP1160088.JPGP1160089.JPGP1160090.JPG
Most of the decals were a waste of time as they're invisible - can you see any of the 36 "NO STEP" decals? Thought not! There are also two decals on each of the 4 fuselage-mounted AMRAAMs, which I'd applied in accordance with the instructions, but they're on the side of the missile that's glued to the fuselage!
Thanks for watching
Pete

Looks very good. It's a tough scale to photograph. PaulE

Great result Pete. They are a challenge, but well worth the effort, as your excellent model shows.

I've made a couple of Russian WW2 fighters and can vouch for the excellent fit on these tiny, but very nicely detailed Revell 1/144 offerings.

Pity you forgot all the decals, I think! ;)

Hi Pete
A great result. Certainly impressive when seen by the paint jar.

Fantastic result pete , i love it . I cant believe there are so many tiny stencils on this ( actually thinking about it i can , the 1/48 Revell typhoon i did ages ago had literally hundreds of the buggers!) Looking forward to your next 1/144! I can heartily recommend the zvezda polikarpov i-16 a tiny but easy build and no stencils ! Cheers tony

Thanks Tony, but I don't think I'll be doing any more 1/144!

Looks brilliant Pete.

That scale might sort out my storage problem, but I don't think I'd have a chance at working with something so tiny!

Cracking work on such a small scale Pete, just think of how many you could get on a shelf.

Many thanks Paul, Steven, Andy, and Ian.
Ian, not so much on a shelf, more like a box in the attic! My finished models sit on top of a cupboard in my hobby room for a few weeks/months after completion, then go into the attic. I did sell a few on ebay a while ago, but they're such a pain to pack that I haven't bothered for a while.

Nice , very nice , I couldn't imagine working on something so small Pete.
You've done a brilliant job .

Great job pete I've got a 144 zvezda stuka to build for a club groupe build ,wingys are not my thing so will be diffrent if it plans out I'll put it up on here ,blow it I'll put it when I start .Dave
