that walnut is really very good!
how did you do it?
I'm not a petrol head but I want one of these- I love the paint finish on the wings .
Looks like you've done a few of these in your time , Raymond?
Cheers
Neil

Agree with Neil on the dash board, has the look of a real Walnut Burr.

hi neil, glad you like it, the walnut burr is a sheet of very thin decal, very easy to break, and akward to fit, just need a bit of patience !top of the doors have to be done yet, good job theres only two doors ! for the painting I used halfords spray paint, Vauxhall burgundy red,bmw jet black, satin silver, and grey primer,, two coats of primer, then rubbed down lightly when dry, then colour coats each coat rubbed down lightly when dry, three or for light coats, the last coat being a bit heavier to get a shine. when all the paint has hardened off, [ I left it for about a week ] it was all polished with a car wax to get a good shine, paint must be hardened or you will get finger prints in it, don't ask me how I know !,,any wax on surfaces to be joined must be wiped off or the glue wont stick . will take a few pics of walnut bur decal when I have a chance. hope that has answered your question . cheers

well, the old rolls is coming along nicely, will put some more pics on when the painted parts have hardened off, been concentrating on the wheels and here they are ready for assembly, had to sand the edge of the chrome centre parts a bit as they were to big, but wheels are ready for assembly now .

Hi Raymond
That is coming on a treat. Dash looks great. I like what you have done with the engine.

rolls being carpeted , didn't like the look of the plastic looking floorpan which was supposed to be light grey , so thought I would try a bit of felt. tried beige colour but it didn't look quite right so tried red, looks a bit better. just a bit of trimming to do and it should look a lot better, I hope !

thanks, paint turned out better than I thought ! I didn't like the plastic looking 'carpet' it looked like plastic even when painted so I thought I would try something different . had a couple of pieces of beige and red felt left over from a dolls house project I started a few years ago, tried it to see what it looked like, not turned out to bad methinks !
