My next victim. A little Jerry sub.
Looks like a nice little kit, not many parts, I think I'm gonna do a "stealth" sub......
Very dark and mean looking.
Box and sprue.

First order of business, (after quick clean up and look thru the instructions) was the hull. Seemed a nice enough fit, but was a tiny bit warped, so needed a few mini clamps to help it all line up....

A bit of progress today....
After joining the two hull sections, the deck was then fixed in place, again it needed a few clamps, some tape, etc. It was very thin and fiddly, but it seems to fit quite nicely.
I then went on to the main conning tower sub assembly. NB: I read that on modern subs this structure is now called the Sail (US) or the Fin (UK).
Due to the very small size, it was a bit fiddly but again the fit seems to be pretty good TBH.

There's a larger gun and two smaller guns and a couple of antennas, etc, plus some very small, and very fiddly railings! The tower was then a fixed to the main deck.

Then the lower railings (also very small, and also very fiddly!) were attached attached with some other little railings to the mid and front deck.

Lastly for the main build it was the prop shafts and props, front and rear steering plane thingy's.....
Then there were a couple of really tiny gaps, so some thin liquid filler was applied in those very few areas. Mainly underneath.

After couple of hours the filler was sanded down with 1000 and then 1200 grit and down to the garage we went, to my Acme cardboard paint booth, and a coat of Chaos black primer was applied. She is now drying and we will then look at main painting tomorrow. It will be fiddly as its so bloody small!

Don't see many subs. Looks to have gone together well.
