Hi guys!!

In the early 1950s the jet age and in the Turkish Air Force began. Up to now, they flew a real hodgepodge of different propeller types. Spitfire, Fw 190 (!), Hurricane, P-47, Fairey Battle, Mosquitos, etc. around and many of these use patterns should also remain in operation.

In October 1950 the first pilots were sent to the United States for a jet training and in the following year a Turkish Air Force Academy in Istanbul was opened.

Of course, jet aircraft were acquired. The F-84 was one of the first pattern and with 479 units Turkey was one of the largest buyers of "Thunder Jets". This aircraft was in service from March 1952 to June 1966.

This is the Revell/Monogram-Kit and I'm really excited. A good fit and nice details. In my opinion this model can keep up with Tamiya.

I wish you all a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.

Stay healthy and have always fun in modeling.

With best regards from Germany

Stefan :)

Thanks for your comments, mates!!!

Tony, for the metallic-finish I used "aluminium 99" from Revell (Enamel).

Beautiful work Stefan. Nicely displayed and photographed, as usual inspirational work.
