They have just said on the news that he is in a stable condition,some pictures of the jet car overturned in a field with covers over it taken from an helicopter,a very lucky escape,no doubt Jeremy will pull his leg over this one.

Lets hope that he mends well,it is obvious that he is a very popular presenter.

It's hard to tell from the shot below but it looks like the rollcage was completely ripped off the car during the crash - There was a shot on the BBC news which showed the car post accident in profile and the top of the car infront of the engine appeared to be totally flat with no rollover hoops...

It looks like the investigation is taking the form of an aircaft crash,lots of measuring and in-situ stuff going on today,if the breaking parachute deployed why would the car suddenly veer off like that ? it just seems very odd as normally the chutes stop the vehicle very quickly.

aparantly the roll cage was intact when they got to him as the car dug into the ground from it being soft from the wet
