Decided to get this to go with the Shannon Lifeboat that was my first build and introduction to Airfix modelling.

The hull was extremely difficult to get to fit together! It took lots of elastic bands, toothpicks and clamps to get it anywhere near the right shapes to fit and glue.

I decided to try using spray paints to help with large areas of colour on this build which does look a lot neater and introduced me to the art of tape and masking.....more work needed

After trying to use the paint that came in the box to touch up some masking errors, I found that even thinning it out a lot, the included paint dried much darker than the spray paint. I decided to remask and redo the blue.

I look forward to seeing how you get on with this. I built it a few years ago and must admit it is not an easy build.
