discussion Robots ???

Hi all
When I look at who is on this forum there are members and guests looking at various threads. There are also Robots :thinking: Two that seem to love this forum are Bing and Majestic-12.
Can someone please enlighten me what these robots are 'cause not knowing is driving me mad. I have a vision of some great big, mechanical monster sat at a keyboard enjoying our builds!!! :tongue-out3:

It will be the likes of google and bing cataloguing the pages so that they can show them when someone does a search

In this context, robots are simple computer programs that perform automated tasks. Not sure what “Majestic-12” is, but “Bing” will be a robot associated with Microsoft’s search engine, meaning it’s a so-called web crawler — that is, a program that looks at web sites so it can add them to the search engine if they’re not already, remove pages from there that have gone, and generally keep the search engine up-to-date.
