Done a few small bits of painting (via brush) over last couple of very hot days, using Tamiya XF paints mostly, and they clearly do not like the hot weather!
Dries very, very quick, like literally within about 30 seconds and if you happen to touch it after that it then drags the paint "skin" across the part.
Does not matter if paint is thinned or not as far as I can tell.
My model making area (smallest spare bedroom) has been high 20's past couple of days, (25+) with window open and fan on.
So I'm guessing avoid painting in very hot weather?
Is there any guidance on what temperatures to avoid painting in, eg: too low or too high?
Cheers

Didn't think about humidity, but to be honest I don't think its too high in my house......its fairly well vented and we don't get much condensation, etc.

I don't airbrush just rattle can. I don't have a spray booth. But cheat and do my painting on the building emergency stairs. As cool and dry very well lit. Yes I clean up afterwards lol

Your paint woes are most likely caused by the temperature and humidity combination Peter, as Kaci said. Try painting in the morning, cover your work from dust, and avoid touching the paint for a day or so.

Tamiya XF does not brush paint well.
Pete
I only brush paint, and I use a few different model paints, Tamiya XF, Mr Hobby Aqueous, Humbrol, Vallejo model, Revell Aqua Colour, Mig/Ammo, and TBH I don't notice that much difference between all of them.
Mostly I do use Tamiya XF, but I'm not that experienced, so.....
