I live in Bermuda Dunes, California. It is very close to Palm Springs. I plan on visiting the UK for 5 or 6 days and then off to Normandy, France to visit the beach landings. I really want to see the Tiger tank at Bovington. I spent 2 years in Germany during the early 80’s. I used to patrol the East and West Border when I was in the Army. I fell in love with Europe. I went back a few years ago and visited Prague, Austria and Germany.

Hi Christopher
This is a treat to see. Very skilled modelling and attention to detail. Throughout the world there are people who are fanatical about the "Age of Steam". I'm old enough to remember when steam engines operated on UK railways.

Speaking of The Age of Steam, in Ohio there is a RR Museum which was built by a private collector. This is on my bucket list. The site was built in the 1990’s.

I have to cut the smoke stacks so I can have a removable roof

Thread owner
Finished painting roundhouse doors. Just waiting for hinges to arrive.

Thread owner
Yes...the hinges are from Campbell and supposedly functional...

Thread owner
Another company that makes outstanding products to include hinges is Showcase Miniatures

Thread owner
The hinges aren’t too expensive...as for the entire diorama...that’s a different story

Okay so making the tiny roofs on these smoke stacks was insanely tedious

Thread owner
So smoke stacks done and the roof is removable. Tomorrow I will apply the asphalt paste on the roof.

Okay so today I got my order from Campbell Models (the hinges) and when I opened the package it was roofing material. I was so mad. I thought they made a mistake but they didn’t. I ordered the wrong thing. So I made another order and the wait game continues.
