discussion SAAF 1/48 Mirage IIIcz

Hi all.

Hwere is my start of a Hobbyboss 1/48 Mirage III CZ I will be doing in pollished allu delivery sceeme.

The decals are very nice except of the yellow springbucks in the castles. Most kit makers do the same except for Airfix who seems to have got SAAF castles perfect with their 1/72 Buckeneer - good on them!

I used only a resin bangseat and the rest will be out the box. There is very nice detail on this kit I must say.

The Mirage is a good looking machine. What colour should the springbocks be Theuns?

I think the roundel ones are Orange, If the castles are the ones I am thinking of I think they are Gold on a blue castle (looks a bit like a kung fu throwing star....

Kung Fu star is correct!

Gold buck in a dark blue castle with a whit border. It was actually a rather nice and unique marking in it's day.

These days we have an eagle with spread wings in a 9 pointed star looking roundal, or as we call it - the coockie cutter LOL!
