Hi
I think I can call the build complete. Here some pictures, not the best maybe but should give an idea. I need now to start thinking of a suitable base for this one. One thing I really don't like is the target thing on the arm of the Breda which is plain plastic.don't have any spare PE but as soon as I'll get one it will be replaced. Overall I am satisfied with it.
Cheers

View attachment 302626View attachment 302626View attachment 302627Morning very quick update before heading to work. I started on the base using mainly sand, a mix of italian and greek. Useless detail but just to give a more ‘exotic’ sense to a very basic progress:tears-of-joy::tears-of-joy::tears-of-joy:

Terrific build mate. You must be very pleased with the final look. Great start on the base. This will show off your build really well

Greg - Grazie frate' (thank you bro)
Collin, Ian Stev Paul, thank you all
A little update on the base
I primed everything with black and then started to lay down different browns with a final layer of a sandy colour.
Now I have to wait for the paint to dry completely and then I 'll go with some pigments. At this point any further suggestion from all of you is critical since I have zero experience on basing. In the meantime I have also ordered some figures from FOG which is the only importer of Model Victoria. I'll have to be patient and wait for the next delivery before completing the scene.
Cheers
Marcello

Hi Marcello
I like that a lot. An unusual subject done very well. The base is good. That vehicle on a base with a figure or two will be one to be proud of.
Jim

Beaten up jerrycans or not, this one beautiful piece of Sahariana. You can eventually add scratches and subtle rust effects.

Thread owner
Guy, thank you for your feedback. Jerrycans may be safe but some scratches and rust may go

No problem Marcello, your a talented modeler my friend.
Personally I'd go for some horizontal scratches, as if it hit something during driving.

Marce’... remember your vignette is in the desert so i would not go for to much rust but defenetly scratches and bleached colors by the sun.. my 2 cents.. :smiling6::smiling6::smiling6:

I'm really curios to see the evolution... now you could also put some Paracadusti in the Vignette since the Arditi Camionettisti had the same equipement... :smiling3::smiling3::smiling3:

Hi Marcello great work on the AS42 :thumb2: must add one to my list.
Pete.

Greg, I think it is more than sufficient to add those three guys considering my figure painting skills....
Pete thanks for watching. Is a nice model and very enjoyable as well.
I took some better pictures of the figures. Very nice resin cast and crisp details. It is my first time with Model Victoria but very please to see this quality. such a shame I can't start painting... I have ordered the Lifecolor set for Italian uniforms to try and be a little more accurate and will arrive in a few days :crying:
Cheers
Marcello
