Could anybody please tell me any sanding solutions for this scale please.?

I tried sanding sticks but they seem too soft and the wife's emery board is too course.

I painted a floor pan and it look terrible, would like to smooth it out as best I can.

Thank you

I would imagine its the same plastic as other kits so a selection of wet and dry and items to wrap it around would be par for the course.

Yup, I have a selection of files, emery boards, and wet-dry sandpapers/micromesh.

Files, emery boards and 600 up to 2000 grit wet-dry is used for bare plastic. I have a nail buffing pad I use to bring back the gloss if necessary. But this is usually an unnecessary step especially if priming before painting. For painted surfaces I have a selection of 4000 to 12000 wet-dry micromesh. It'll bring a paint job close to a full gloss if followed by a fine scratch remover similar to what is used by auto detailers.

halfords mate. wet and dry . i got a pack containing 600, 800 and 1200 grit paper. tear a little piece off and go coarse to fine as you go. cost a fiver but for modelling it will last ages.

The method I use is to dry sand first getting down to a relatively smooth surface.

I use mostly Albion Alloys Foam Backed Sanding Blocks 35mm x 100mm. They come in a set of 4 from coarse to fine. The abrasive being attached to foam helps to get around round surfaces with the minimum of scoring & gives a nice finish ready for the wet & dry as mentioned above. I think with the large scale you are working with these will work better than the sanding sticks. Start with coarse if necessary to get shot of projecting joints & progress down to through to the fine. Find after that the wet & dry keeping the surface & wet & dry paper really wet.

Try the cheapo shops first, I got 8 sheets from fine to medium ... Cost a quid!

Best thing is it says 3M tri-M-ite on the back so you can't say its a crappy substitute :) :) :)
