we are near Newark on a caravan site, got here yesterday and within half an hour a Spitfire flew over flanked by 2 other small aircraft but I couldn't tell what they were, as we had just got here my camera was in the car so couldn't get any pics

So this morning I thought if they come over again I will be ready, got my camera out of the car and I couldn't believe it 5 minutes later 2 flew over, I tried to take some pictures but my lense was fogged up :(

I'm now sat outside food, beer and camera to hand, I'm ready for them this time.

I don't believe it, I went for a quick Jimmy and another one flew over and a Dakota flying the other way, I managed to get a tail end picture of the spit and a few of the Dakota, but another hour later 2 more Spitfires flew directly above us, got a couple of pics but won't know how the turn out until I get home.

Good luck with the pics. For me, it seems that the best sightings are the impromptu ones, hence no camera !

They're fine. They look like 1:1 aircraft to me.

How did you get that high
It was flying very low and quite far away from me, I only had a 250mm lens on, I was going to use my 500mm lens but it weighs over 2kg so it does get a little tiring holding it
