I know this isnt model related, but we lost a dear old friend and family member yesterday, our little girl "Scratch" lost her fight with cancer yesterday, and we`ve had to bury her today, I feel absolutely gutted and lost.

We have had since she was a kitten, she was one of the family and was nearly 17 years old, I know that sounds like a good innings, but somehow you always expect them to be around forever, but when they go, you never get used to it, and it rips you apart inside.View attachment 117782

Sad news mate.

Still remember finding the lumps in my dogs lymph glands. Knew what was coming before he even got to the vet. Still though- he had a great life and was treated well exactly as your cat was I'll bet. Can't ask for more than that.

Sorry to here about your news Tommy.......... I lost my old cat a while back ......... We'd been together for years, know how you feel mate.

Sorry to hear that Tommy, I've been through it myself so I know how much it hurts.

Gone Tommy thro that a number of times cats dogs. Always the same.

Lost our German Sheperd when she had a tumour on the brain. 8 years old.

Knew she was going to die the next day. Went on the beach with her mate a

labrodour. Right on the water line out of the way and just sobbed and sobbed.

Pets certainly do get under you skin.

Getting another cat Tommy ? Once you have had a cat or dog hard not to

be without.

Laurie

Sorry to here of your loss as i lost one last year to old age and i have one who is in his 18 th year

Sorry to read about Scratch, Tommy. People who have never 'owned' a pet can't understand, and never will, what it's like to loose one.

We're on our fifth dog. With each one passing we always said "Never again.", but the gap has always needed to be filled, so within a few days we were at the RSPCA's kennels and bringing something home on the back seat - usually big and daft!

So I say this, get down to the cattery toot sweet, and pick yourself a new moggie. Never forget your old mate, but pile your affections onto your new buddy. Trust me, it works every time.

Sorry to hear about your loss Tommy they are true family members and it's very hard

Thanks guys for your kind words, you don't realise just how much they become part of your life, and how much you miss them, when they are gone.

Since my wife and myself have been together, we have been blessed with having pets, from a Rabbit, a Guinea pig, Fish, Cat's and Dog's, but this little girl was the first we had together in the house that we now live in.

No matter how many pets, or as we like to call them " family" you have, you can never get used to them going, what makes this one worse for myself is, she was mine, she spent more time with me, and as she was literally going, she kept holding on, and when she did eventually go, I'd literally been out of the house for an hour, when she feel to sleep, I really feel gutted more than I have ever done, because I feel guilty that I wasn't there for her, at that particular time.

Laurie we have two dogs also mate, they have gone quiet since the little one passed, I don't know maybe I'm more of a pet person than a people person, again thank you for your kind words.

Having lost several cats over the years I sympathise, they do become a part of your life.

We have always had cats from kittens, our current cat is now twelve and I still miss his predecessor on occasions. The whole family were in tears when we buried him at the age of fourteen.

sorry to hear about your loss.....and it is a loss cos they really are part of the family

these days id rather talk to our cats than the majority of people!

i was never a cat person til swmbo moved in with me and brought her cat Tiff who was getting on then......that little cat stole my heart.....when she past on i was gutted, the place just felt so empty and quiet.......we planned on waitting 6 months before we had another, we didnt even last 6 weeks!......both ours are rescue kittys from the cat protection people....feels good giving unwanted cats another chance
